Between Your Laptop Keys

Do you find that your laptop’s keyboard gets dirty very easily?

Well, the truth is, after extended usage, a laptop’s keyboard does accumulate grime and dirt.

So how do you go about cleaning those keys and making the laptop seem brand new?

Well, this article will show you how. All you need are some simple tools to get the job done.

1. Get a Laptop Vacuum Cleaner

The first idea for cleaning gunk from your laptop keyboard is to invest in a good laptop vacuum cleaner. A laptop vacuum cleaner? Well, yes. There is such equipment out there and they are incredibly effective for sucking out dirt and grime from laptop keys. Unfortunately, the laptop vacuum cleaner cannot go under the keys so it’s a bit difficult to get those cleaned.

2. Dismantle The Keyboard

The next trick for cleaning out gunk from your laptop keyboard is to dismantle the keyboard and really clean out the stuff beneath the keys. Now, be careful when you do this – you need to know what you’re doing before you actually go about dismantling. This technique is very effective when used in combination with the laptop vacuum cleaner.

3. Use Some Blue Tack

The next clever trick is to use some 3M blue tack to stick on the dirt between the keys. Once you stick the grime onto the blue tack, it becomes a lot easier to just remove that dirt. Try it, this technique works great if you have stubborn pieces of dirt just won’t come off.

4. Use A Toothpick

Another good trick to clean out dirt from your laptop keyboard is to use a toothpick. A toothpick can reach places in the laptop keyboard where your fingers cant. It’s a great tool for getting stubborn pieces of dirt out quickly and easily. I like to use it to clean out little bits of food (e.g. cookie crumbs) that I left in my laptop keys.

5. Turn The Laptop Upside Down

Here’s another interesting way to removed dirt from your laptop keyboard. Just turn the whole laptop upside down and shake it a little! Ok, this is probably not the most advanced way of cleaning the keyboard, but it is certainly quick and simple. It’s great for pieces of dirt which are pretty large and somhow just won’t come out.

Conclusion

Now you’ve seen some good tricks for removing dirt from your laptop keyboard. The truth is, the laptop keyboard can get very dirty. As long as you are aware of the techniques above and are careful with the application of those techniques, you should be able to remove all sorts of your gunk from your laptop keyboard. Then you machine will feel like brand new again!
